The Home Stretch

Post by wolfe »

Well, it's now Week 11. No more players on bye. Division games for the last 4 games as usual.

Paydirt Division
The Salamanders (6-4, 2-0) lead the division, but two 5-5 teams and a 4-6 team are making things close.
The Yankees (4-6, 0-2) play the Salamanders twice, so there is a chance she can make up some ground.

Redzone Division
Eazy's Rockers (8-2, 2-0, most points in league) is making it look easy this season. He has a three game lead in the division with 4 games to go. A win at Ossified Beatniks (5-5, 2-0) this week would clinch the division for the Rockers.

Gridiron Division
Sheffield (7-3, 2-0) is a game up on Cherry Bombs (6-4, 1-1). Those two teams play each other twice more this season. Should be a fun race to watch.
The rules are fair. The regulations are fair.

The Salamanders and Rockers have won their divisions.

Sheffield can take the division with a win OR a Punishers loss.
The Punishers can take the division with a win AND a Sheffield loss.

Wild Card Race:
Punishers 2045.8
Ossified Beatniks 2000.9
Cherry Bombs 1982.4
The rules are fair. The regulations are fair.

Will Sheffield be the only team ever to have led their division from week 1 to only lose in week 14 and miss the playoffs? I believe this will happen...I don't know how the Feagle Eagles have won this year...mostly smoke and mirrors.
You better get on your knees and pray...Sheffield and Gainesboro are on the way.

Its going to be an interesting day for sure! I hope the Punishers can pull out their first division title against their archrival the Feagle Eagles. They actually need that to happen to ensure a playoff beth. The Punishers are currently in the lead for the Wild Card, but the Beatniks and Cherry Bombs are only 50 points back. The Punishers could finish with a better record than both teams but if we lay an egg points wise today, we could be on the outside looking in at the playoffs! In any case, good luck to everyone!!

It appears the Feagle Eagles have won...an easy out for someone in the first round of the playoffs however.

With my last weeks performance it should be a low scoring affair.
Nashville Salamanders, the only team to win a division with a sub .500 record.
