It is more of a disadvantage for the #1 seed than the wild card! You know the wild card has to play the #1 seed regardless. It just sucks that the #1 seed does not play the weakest playoff team.....

maybe the playoff teams should be seeded by record

I would tend to agree. It is fine for the highest non division leading team with the most points win the wild card but it does seem logical to seed by record after that. Well just bring it up next year to vote to change the rule.
