Draft Day Directions

Post by wolfe »

The Draft is being hosted by Will and Michelle Gordy at their home in Thompson's Station. It's a new neighborhood, so Google doesn't have a clue where it is.

Option 1: Exit 61 on I-65 is closed due to construction. Take exit 65 (Murfreesboro Road), turn left on South Royal Oaks Blvd, turn left on Mack Hatcher, turn left on to Lewisburg Pike, turn right on Goose Creek Bypass.

Option 2: Take 840 to exit 28 (Columbia Pike)

The name of the neighborhood is Tollgate Village. When you enter, go straight all the way back (drive left or right around the big pond with a water fountain) to a 3-way intersection. Then turn right and drive a couple of roads down. The house has grayish siding. I'll hang some RED BALLONS.

The bridge at Exit 61 is closed...right? Not sure how that affects travel to Will's.
You better get on your knees and pray...Sheffield and Gainesboro are on the way.

I avoided that area this weekend because of all the mess. But now that I ask around I think the on/off ramps are closed for a few more months. I-65 is open through that area. So if coming from east of Lebanon, take 840. If you come down I-65 south, take exit 65 (Murfreesboro Rd) or continue down to 840.

According to http://www.franklintn.gov/government/en ... etour-info, the bridge over the interstate is gone now, but the on/off ramps are now open. So it would be possible to use the ramp if traveling southbound on I-65 and to get on to Goose Creek Bypass and go West. But you can't take that exit on your return trip to go North.
