Multiple GMs are calling for commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Pacman Jones for one year, according to the New York Daily News.
"(Goodell's) got to come down hard on him," one GM told the paper. "Everybody is watching, so he is going to take it to the limit." "God Almighty, he's got a litany of legal problems," another general manager said at last week's owners' meetings. "We have to make a statement."

i think it would be complete "bullshit" for the comissioner to listen to other GMs, but he may be!

So you support completely fascist control by commissioners over a league? He's only doing what any good, democratic leader would do. Getting a consensus from other league officials before making a major decision. Sound like anyone else you know?

Sarcasmo. GMs for teams throughout the league are not league officials.

i shouldn't have put listened to...of course he should listen to them, BUT he should not base his decision on their remarks!!!
i would say suspend other team's best players to!!! of course opposing teams don't want to face pac-man and chris henry, because they are very good players and it gives their team a better chance of winning when they are not on the field!

Charges Against Titans CB P. Jones Delayed
Terry McCormick, Nashville City Paper - [Full Article]
Potential criminal charges to be filed in Las Vegas against Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones have been delayed to allow further investigation of a February 19 incident. Jones was recommended for charges on March 26, including a felony coercion and misdemeanor threat to life and battery charges. No additional information is currently available.

I heard someone in the media say that these charges (the Vegas) are shaky at best, especially the recommendation of the felony charge. He's probably going to get out of those, and quite possibly the ones in Georgia as well.
So, someone said to look for a 2 to 4 game suspension from the league because he didn't report his arrests back in 06 that occurred in Georgia. With the league waiting to suspend him further if he gets any convictions. With possible further sanctions from the Titans.
However, he may be playing for the Titans in week 5, if so, maybe he can learn from it and carryforward. We'll see.

Yeah, they were saying on SC last night that it wouldn’t be as long as previously specified because the new discipline measures are just now going into effect and they are not retroactive…

NFLPA President Gene Upshaw says the NFL is not considering a lifetime ban for Pacman Jones or Chris Henry.
Jones tried to tell his side of the story on the NFL Network Wednesday, but didn't sound overly contrite. He's expected to get a 8-16 game suspension.
