Local group raises equity
The local Nashville group's goal is to raise $110 million to $125 million in equity in the event Balsillie's deal falls through. If that goal is reached, the group could attempt to borrow the remaining amount needed to buy the team.

$100? More like $130 million.

That is, if you take the less conservative figure of $110 million.

Let me re-state. I was confused by your logic.
Between the two, they have $25 million in equity. They hope to raise $110 in equity, THAT WOULD INCLUDE THE $25 Million BECAUSE IT ISN'T ADDITIONAL EQUITY; so, if they get to $110 million, they would need $130 more. Because reports are that the offer is around $240 million for both the team and Powers Managerment. Understand?
Also, the deal doesn't have to fall through. It's a non-binding/non-exclusive agreement to buy/sell the team. Anyone can make Leopold an offer at this point.

Once again, I was confused by your logic. It made my head hurt.
No, you seemed to want to add $25 million to the amount they hope to raise. If they hoped to raise $135 million to $160 million, then it would have said so. But nevermind.
It's a NON-BINDING agreement from what was reported yesterday; therefore, either the carpetbagger or the traitor could back out. Or, others (maybe a group from K.C.) could step up and make an offer because it's NOT exclusively offered to the carpetbagger.
Understand?
