It won't get to that. There will be a work stoppage before that happens.
The NFL's CBA expries after the 2006 season. All of the previous salary cap CBA's have had an uncapped year tagged on at the tail-end. But, the players appears eager to raise the stakes and get themselves some more money. It's been added to the tail-end with each agreement just as fluff.
