Ricky Williams - RB - MIA
NFL Network reports Ricky Williams lost his appeal hearing with the NFL on his drug suspension. Williams will be suspended for the 2006 season.
Williams' lawyer wouldn't comment on whether Ricky will play football again. He can apply for reinstatement in one year. Football-wise, the Dolphins have Sammy Morris and Travis Minor on the roster behind Ronnie Brown, but will probably draft someone at the position. Apr. 25 - 7:24 pm et

RB R. Williams Tests Positive For Marijuana
Chris Mortenson, ESPN - [Full Article]
Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams tested positive for marijuana in April and will not be able to apply for reinstatement until September.
i don't get these athletes. it's very relaxing to smoke a bowl or light a spliff after a hard days work, but if you get drug tested on a regular basis....be smart about it.
GO TO GNC and get the shit that flushes it out of your system. it costs about $50, so maybe he can't afford it right now.

seems pretty simple to me... wanna make millions of dollars, then don't smoke.
however, what someone does to their own body is their decision and POT doesn't give a person a competitive edge with sports....

"Due to the recent reports about me failing a drug test, I feel it is appropriate for me to issue this statement," Williams said. "Last month, following a psychological evaluation requested by the NFL, we — the psychiatrist and I — came to the realization that there were a few things I needed to iron out about myself in order to make my return to the NFL as successful as possible.
"I am an honest, God-fearing man who is intensely dedicated to being the best person I can be on and off the football field. There is no need to smear my name or to defame my character for the sake of news. When the time is right, God willing, I will be back on the field scoring touchdowns for whatever team is fortunate enough to believe in me."
maybe it wasn't the WEED, man
