In this day of free agency, it's hard to keep a team together. That being said, if a team wins 4 championships in 6 years they might be called a 'dynasty'. But what do the 2002 champion Patriots have in common with the 2008 (potential) champions?

Here's a list I compiled using the rosters from the three previous Super Bowl Patriots teams and this year's roster.

The number indicates the number of times he played as a Patriot in a Super Bowl. There are 195 names here. 8 of them were on all 4 teams. That's 15% of a 53-man roster. 24 players (45%) have made 3 or 4 appearances as a Patriot. 17 current players (32%) were on the roster for the last championship.

Giants by 23!

a subprime second mortgage and put it all on the Giants

Dynasties are not about individual players; especially in this era of free agency. Dynasties are about organizations.

Also, 4 in 6 years? Were the Cowboys not a dynasty in the mid-Nineties because they didn't win 4? Here's my point, the Patriots were a dynasty before their impending win this Sunday.
