KC-NE

by the Man, the Myth...
Are we just risking playing those players? I saw this idea and thought I'd share to get everyone's thoughts:

An owner in my league passed along a great idea to help deal with the KC-NE game uncertainty. My league will use this and I thought I'd share out to the fellow commissioners out there.
-----------
Safety Player Rule (KC-NE Game)
As of now, the plan is for the KC-New England game to be played on Monday or Tuesday. It’s possible that could change and the game won’t be played this week. To help with the added risk of a Monday or Tuesday game that may not happen we have a new rule in affect for this game.
If you have a Kansas City or New England player that you want in your starting lineup but want to make sure you don’t get zero points if the game is cancelled after lineups lock, do the following:
Put your KC or NE player on the bench and select someone on your team (a “safety” or in-case-the-game-isn’t-played player) to start as if the KC-NE game is cancelled.
Before the safety replacement starter locks into the starting lineup (that game’s kickoff), post on the RZFFL message board (for all to see) the player you want to start if the KC-NE game is played, the player who they would replace in your starting lineup and the position to be filled.
If the KC-NE game plays in week 4, I will sub in the KC or NE player as you posted on the message board once we know the game is being played. The decision to substitute just depends on if the KC-NE game is played, nothing else.
As an example, I have Tyreek Hill and Odell Beckham on my team. If KC-NE play, I want Hill as a starting WR but don’t want to risk a zero if the game isn’t played. I should set Beckham as a starting WR and, before Beckham’s game kicks-off Sunday at 1pm, post to the message board for all to see saying something like “If the KC-NE game plays in week 4, I want Tyreek Hill in my WR starting lineup in place of Odell Beckham.”
Again, this 100% depends on if the game is played in week 4. So even if, come Monday after lineups lock, Hill gets hit by a bus, gets caught by the COVID monster or even if Beckham sets an NFL record for receiving TDs in a game, your instructions from Sunday before lineup lock is the final word. Hill goes to the starting lineup.

I'm all for this. I'd like to start Edwards-Helaire, Clyde KCC RB, but if the game gets moved/cancelled at the last minute, I'd like to have a backup option (Cobb, Randall HOU WR).

Unfortunately, I would only support something that MFL.com can handle. Manually changing starters after players are locked and scores calculated is very difficult.

As of now 11am CT, the game is still scheduled for Monday night.

I want to go on the record as saying that if the Chiefs/Pats game ends up cancelled, I will mentally add to my score any points that my backup QB Nick Foles gets this week. :D
