Magic number for clinching a playoff spot is 8 wins or 17 points. I know it is a given Nashville will make the playoffs, but I would like to see it become official.

Calder traded to the Red Wings

Underachieving winger Kyle Calder was shipped off to Detroit in a three team deal on Monday.

Chicago will receive forward Jason Williams while Philly acquired defenseman Lasse Kukkonen and a third-round pick from Chicago. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact Calder has with the Red Wings. Feb. 26 - 9:12 pm et

Calder's salary is almost 2x Willlams and he has less goals, assists and shots than Williams.

Calder has looked pretty good so far for the Wings. He is quick. Although Shea Webber abused him most of the night tonight

Woohoo. We really need some people to feel better on the team. Now the suspension of tootoo along with injuries. this is not looking good to get that top spot.
