Jed Ortmeyer signed a a two-year, $1.5 million deal with the Nashville Predators.
The checking line forward collected two goals and 11 points over 41 contests for the New York Rangers last season.

Very good signings. Bonk has a good shot to make a significant difference in how teams play us. He is a good sized defensive center with decent scoring ablility. With two lines of centers that are good sized and talented (Arnott and Bonk) that is very helpful.

Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Darcy Hordichuk and defenseman Kevin Klein to one-year contracts and defenseman Greg Zanon to a two-year deal. The club also signed 2007 Entry Draft selections Robert Dietrich and Andreas Thuresson to three-year contracts.
