Players that opt-out of the 2020 season will be given the designation of "H" which is the same as players who hold out because of contract disputes. These players will not be allowed to be put on Injured Reserve.
It looks like they are already labeling players as "IR-COVID" (https://www62.myfantasyleague.com/2020/injury?L=42559). It's not clear yet if this means players can be put on our IR on MyFantasyLeague.com.
Does anyone have an objection to COVID players being stashed on IR? The current limit for players on our IR is set at 5.

Re: NFL Injury Status for COVID19
I'm not opposed at all to them on IR. It would the same as any other sickness or injury.
Do we have a vote on increasing the IR limit though?

I'm not sure where the limit of 5 came from for IR. The maximum amount is 50 - that seems a bit much.

If I remember right, it was something we voted on to reduce to help prevent hoarding of players.

Re: NFL Injury Status for COVID19
I’m in favor of using IR for COVID players. We should probably increase the limit for this season although I’m not sure what that number should be? Can it be adjusted mi-season?

Re: NFL Injury Status for COVID19
This is from MyFantasyLeague
We have updated the Fantasy Injured Reserve options to help you handle COVID related illnesses and player Opt Outs in your fantasy league. For starters, players that are out because of a COVID related illness or because they are required to quarantine will be labeled with (C) after their name on the various reports and screens in your league. Players that will miss the entire season because they chose to Opt Out will be labeled with (H) after their name.
If you want to be able to allow franchises in your league to put those players on the Fantasy IR list, then you can select these options on the Injured Reserve Setup screen:
Can a player be put on IR when he's away from the team due to a contract dispute or holdout?
Can a player be put on IR when he's on the NFL Reserve/COVID-19 list?
There is also a new option available to allow only players with a COVID injury designation to be placed on the Taxi Squad.
The rules are fair. The regulations are fair.
