Bills' first-round draft pick J.P. Losman suffered a broken fibula during practice on Tuesday. ESPN.com reporter Len Pasquarelli reports that Losman is expected to miss at least eight regular season games. Losman was running with the ball at the end of a play when Bills' cornerback Troy Vincent shoulder-blocked the rookie quarterback and knocked him to the ground. Losman stood up and tried to walk, but he started limping and then fell to the ground. He needed help standing up again and was unable to put any weight on his injured leg. Losman and Vincent shook hands before the young signal caller was carted off the practice field. Vincent later told reporters that he didn't mean to run into Losman.
