Titans: Calico could be done for season
Wide receiver Tyrone Calico, who reinjured his knee in Sunday's loss to the Chargers, has a cartilage tear in his left knee and will miss at least two more weeks?and possible for the rest of the season. Calico missed the first three games of the season after spraining both knees in the final exhibition game. He caught two passes and was the target of one deep ball in the San Diego game, but on his second catch his knee buckled as he turned to run and he dropped to the ground. "At this point, Ty will be out," Titans coach Jeff Fisher told The Tennessean. "Best-case scenario is he will be out two-to-three weeks, worst-case scenario it could be eight-to-10, perhaps more if there is more damage. Obviously he is very disappointed."
The exam by Titans' team doctors concluded that Calico's current knee injury isn't related to the previous sprains, and that he didn't try to come back too early. However, the team will be without its only legitimate deep threat for at least the next two weeks, and perhaps the season. Former Cardinal Jason McAddley was in Nashville and will work out for the Titans Wednesday, and the team may also pursue ex-Titan Kevin Dyson, who was with the Panthers last year and the Chargers during training camp but is currently out of football.
THIS SUCKS!!!!!
