Bengals running back Rudi Johnson made it clear all offseason that he didn't want to play the 2005 season under a one-year deal. Thanks to his new five-year, $26 million contract, he won't have to. ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that the two sides agreed to the deal Tuesday evening, allowing Cincinnati to use the franchise tag on other players in future years if they chose to. "I'm glad we got it over," Johnson told Clayton after the negotiations were concluded. "I didn't want to be on one-year contracts. Now I know where I'm going to be for the next five years. I'm glad this finally came true." He replaced Corey Dillon in the Bengals' backfield last season and ran for a franchise-record 1,454 yards. He also had 12 touchdowns and was named to his first Pro-Bowl.
YEAH for me!!!

do ur research dumbass:::
RUDI'S DEAL ACTUALLY BETTER THAN LAMONT'S
Although the contract signed by Bengals running back Rudi Johnson is, on the surface, worth $300,000 less per year than the deal signed at the outset of free agency by new Raiders running back LaMont Jordan, the numbers on the back end of the deal indicate that Johnson is far more likely to earn every penny of his contract, which Jordan will either be forced to accept a pay cut -- or take a hike -- at some point before the conclusion of the 2009 season.
Johnson's deal is worth $26 million over five years, and Jordan's is worth $27.5 million over the same time period. But a league source tells us that Jordan's cap numbers in 2008 and 2009 are $8 million and $9 million, respectively.
Johnson's, on the other hand, are only $4.6 million and $4.8 million, respectively.
