It's legal to pick up players and put them on IR, IF they are listed as injured. For Bruschi it seems he is not on any injury report and he's probably on NE's practice squad.
The Patriot's bye week has kind of clouded his status since they didn't have to turn in an injury report this week.

i'll take them off, but i can't get any site to give me any information about peterson.....
he's been out the last 2 weeks so i figured he was still out
as for bruschi, he was on the PUP list and he has to practice for 20 days before he will be legally taken off the list. if he doesn't seem well in practice then he will be officially out for the season!
if someone wants either of these guys they can have them for cheap....

I'll let you in on a secret if look out to the side of your player on the roster page like I did beside J.Peterson it had a P..R...O.. and that stands for probable. So, from that whether he plays or not means he is not out or on IR.
