The Pioneer Press reports there's talk that Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, as a way to endear fans and improve chances for a new stadium, might bid big for Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander, the NFL's most valuable player, who will be a free agent after the season.

if someone is looking to take the title next year, he's available !!!!!

Could Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander be hinting at something? When asked if he was sad when cornerback Ken Lucas left the Seahawks for the Panthers in March, Alexander made a statement that might be music to the ears of wishful-thinking Carolina fans. "I definitely was," he said in a conference call with reporters in Charlotte. "But at the same time, who knows if I am going to be here or not? I told him you never know, I might be out there with you. Whenever you lose a teammate, it's rough. When you lose a friend, it's worse."

Our View
It's no secret that Alexander might be looking for a new home next season. His timing on this is probably less than desirable for the Seattle organization, though.

What are you trying to do drive his value down? If I was dumping someone I would make them do their own research.

if he goes to either the vikings or the panthers he's not going to miss a beat and will still be a top 3 back next year.

if you're not interested, maybe one of your division rivals will want him

THE NEWS
NFL MVP Shaun Alexander and several other Seahawks players got a jolt Monday when their van was struck by a mechanical security fence, the Arizona Republic reports. The players were jostled from their seats but said no one was injured. Alexander, fellow Pro Bowlers Matt Hasselbeck, Steve Hutchinson and Walter Jones and Michael Boulware were on their way to a downtown news conference when the accident occurred.

Alexander was later found sucking off Hasselbeck and was unavailable for comment...
