Update: Chambers went down with a knee injury at the team's evening practice Sunday, SI.com reports.
Recommendation: Although quarterback Daunte Culpepper told SI.com he feared the worst and believed Chambers would be out for the year, there was no definitive word on the extent of the injury. Coach Nick Saban said he would wait until the results of a Monday morning MRI before commenting on the injury. "I'm hoping for the best," Saban said. "But it looks like a serious injury. I'm not overly optimistic."
