Supposedly he's injured; something to do with his mouth. Some are speculating that he won't show up because he's afraid of this year's competition.

Krystal Square-Off is around October in Chattanooga. There's been some talk of a trip to witness what some call the premier eating contest in the country.

The mustard belt is back in the hands of an American, Joey Chestnut. He outlasted Kobayashi 66 to 63 in the fastest 12 minutes in sports. Kobayashi rallied to tie Chestnut in hot dogs eaten with two minutes and thirty seconds left on the clock, but couldn't overtake the young Californian. Both broke the world record, of 59 hot dogs eaten, which had been held by Chestnut.

How can it be the fastest 12 minutes? Was it a 59-second minute?
