According to the National Football Post's Michael Lombardi, Titans secondary coach Chuck Cecil will be promoted to defensive coordinator "barring any problems."
Linebackers coach Dave McGinnis was under consideration as well, but he's believed to be content in his current position. Cecil, known as one of the most vicious hitters in NFL history, will fit in well with Jeff Fisher's smash-mouth style.
